Pursuits is an online resource your agency can use to record and track its pursuit data, and compare its pursuit outcomes to state and national averages. It provides you with the raw data you need to tailor your training and policy for better pursuit results. As an IACP Net member, your department can participate in Pursuits at no charge! For more information about Pursuits, log in to IACP Net and review the Pursuits customer bulletin, or call your customer service associate at 800.227.9640. Share Your Shift Schedule Does your department have 12 hour shifts? 10 hour? Many members have been looking for examples of different shift schedules. If you're willing to share this information so other agencies can use it as a resource, we'd love to add it to the IACP Net database. DATABASES Supplemental Resources The full-text display of documents in the Core database now features a section called Supplemental Resource(s). This section provides additional information about the document, enhancing your user experience. You can visit the information provider's website, view videos, listen to podcasts, review Excel spreadsheets, download PowerPoint presentations, and more by clicking on the links under Supplemental Resource(s) of documents. Hate Crimes, 2010 The FBI released this document based on information submitted by law enforcement agencies throughout the nation. These data indicate that 6,628 criminal incidents involving 7,699 offenses were reported in 2010 as a result of bias toward a particular race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity/national origin, or physical or mental disability. This statistical information can be located in the Core database by searching with keyword Hate Crimes, 2010. Log in to IACP Net and view these documents. Severe Weather Preparedness Plan This policy from the Osceola County, Florida, Sheriff's Office Policy and Procedures Manual details the OCSO Severe Weather Plan, including procedures in the event an approaching storm system or hurricane. This document includes the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) organizational chart and pre-storm checklist, as well as the OSCO's hurricane status report form and EOC personnel assignments form. CURRENT AFFAIRS Funding - Violence Prevention Program Request for Proposals Funding is available for activities and events in support of Prevention of Violence and Trauma of Women and Girls (VAW) in the United States and its affiliated territories and tribal nations. The purpose of this funding announcement is to seek projects which increase awareness of violence and trauma affecting women and girls, offer prevention strategies and messages, and promote trauma-informed care to decrease violence against women and girls and promote recovery and resiliency.
